Curious cat bakery’s chef Natalia Lima based in St. Petersburg, is determined to prove with effort, research and will anything can be veganised. She believes in veganism completely and has taken a challenge to veganise every week’s recipe on the not-so-vegan-friendly baking reality show, The Great British Bake Off. In each show she makes a vegan version of the desserts from each episode of Season 10 reality show streaming on Netflix.
For the bread challenge week, Lima made cinnamon rolls and a chocolate orange custard cake for the 1920s challenge week. She films the cooking method herself and the n posts the step by step video on how to make the vegan desserts on her Instagram stories.
Lima says that she has been a fan of the show for years now and this time she thought to make it all the more fun for her by baking along. And she added another challenge for herself of ‘it has to be vegan’. She says she has realised anything can be veganised with research, and a stubborn will. Though her recipes take some adapting but the essence of all the challenges are preserved.
Lima’s Instagram cooking videos have been so well received by her followers and wholesalers that she is now looking forward to releasing an e-book of all her recipes at the end of the show’s season which she plans to sell on amazon and on her personal website. The vegan baked products are available online for purchase on her website till the end of the challenge. People can order, taste and then decide on buying the e-book of the recipes.
