Ricky Gervais and Bryan Adams, and many more celebrities, NGOs, renowned business leaders and athletes, and politicians have signed the open letter, calling people to try a plant-based diet or vegan food products for the month of January. This whole concept is known as veganuary (Vegan + January).

The open letter, which was penned by Veganuary, was inviting people to try a vegan diet in January and was also requesting people to join the same by stating the benefits to the common masses in the open letter.

He further added that these changes will allow us to help fight the climatic chaos and prevent future global pandemics. These changes would reduce carbon emissions, which would save our planet as well.

Many other famous celebrities have signed this letter, they include Jane Goodall, Chris Packham, Paul McCartney, Alan Cumming, and many other campaign groups, and many more individuals.

According to the open letter presented by veganuary, the letter sets out the link and relationship between all the things we are currently facing. It includes climatic changes, global pandemics, and how they both are linked to the consumption of animal products.

It clearly says that animal agriculture is highly responsible for the all-human greenhouse gas emissions that too up to 14.5 percent, which is an eye-opening figure.

Definitely, we cannot deal with climatic changes unless we reduce the consumption of animals.

As per the research conducted by oxford university, animal products create more emissions than plant products.

So, to deal with the climatic conditions, we must try to avoid eating animals. This will definitely reduce the emissions, which would improve the climatic conditions, which, on the other hand, will prevent us from a future global pandemic.

Furthermore, the research states that more than one billion tons of food must be grown to feed reared animals. The food required by the count of raised animals is far more than what is required by human beings.

So, suppose you want to have a better future and don’t want the breakdown of another global pandemic like covid-19. In that case, we must encourage ourselves, our family, and our dear and near ones to switch to a plant-based diet. If you are serious about saving your planet and your life, you must switch to vegan food products.

Today, as you step into the market, you get vegan supplements of all the non-vegan food products, be it croissants or starters or your grab-and-go products.

With the same hope, Veganuary has concluded the letter by requesting people to help build a better future by signing up the pact and trying vegan for January.

We all have suffered a lot because of the global pandemic; let’s try vegan food products just for once and prevent ourselves and our planet from another global outbreak.
