- Suppose you are consuming too many dairy products. Thus, it’s rightly said that radiant skin is found through a plant-based diet, and not in the bottle or milk carton.
- Consumption of dairy products can cause severe allergic reactions:- With the people having dairy allergies or intolerance, they must stop consuming dairy products, as it could cause severe damage to their health in the future. Depending on the severity and the symptoms of anaphylaxis, one must take a wise decision to avoid these symptoms by quitting the consumption of dairy products.
- Dairy products are linked to many preventable chronic conditions, such as, obesity, heart diseases, and type 2 diabetes:- Cow’s milk contains trans. It saturates fats, both of which lead to heart diseases and obesity. Not only this, but it also triggers our body to produce an excess amount of insulin, which works against type 2 diabetes.
- Dairy can lead to brittle bones:– There is the fact that cow’s milk contains calcium, which is partially correct. It does contain calcium, but a human body can absorb only 30 per cent of the calcium. A recent study found that regular or daily consumption of dairy products increases the chances of hip fracture. So, we can clearly state that consuming dairy products makes our bones healthy is a myth. For developing strong bones, one must consume broccoli, tahini, and bok choy. These food items don’t have any side effects and are a suitable replacement for cow’s milk.
- Dairy products contribute to deplorable animal welfare practices:– Technically, the purpose of cow’s milk is to make a baby grow into an adult cow, and is consumed by the calf to turn to 1,000 pounds as it reaches its adulthood. The cow cannot produce milk over all the seasons. To produce milk, the cow must be pregnant. The cows are forcibly impregnated or are given steroids for nearly four to six years to make or to create as much milk as possible. When they give birth, their calves are taken away from them. Male calves are sent to slaughter, and female calves enter into the same depressing cycle. This isn’t good in terms of consumers as well as producers. The producer that is the cow suffers, as they get separated from the calves. And it is even worse for consumers that is human health, as the milk may contain steroids which can cause severe damage to the human body. So, we must stop consuming cows milk and should shift to oat milk or soya milk.
