Vegan brand Oumph! which has one numerous awards for its work has now launched its plant-based ‘sticky smokehouse’ rib style fillets in supermarket chain Tesco. The product is completely meat free and is being described by the brand as a product that is richly covered in flavored sticky, smoky barbecue sauce. The new delicacy will hit selected stores in the UK and Tesco Ireland this week and can be found in the frozen section.

In a statement released to the press Sarah Bind, the Buying Manager of Prepared Foods at Tesco has said that they are really pleased to bring this fun and tasty option to the consumers. She states, “As we expand our plant-based offering, we’re pleased to be introducing Oumph! Sticky Smokehouse to a number of our stores. It’s a fun, tasty option for anyone considering going vegan or trying a flexitarian diet and perfect to support our Veganuary campaign.”

The account Manager at Oumph! and Food for Progress, Laura Weadock, has added the decision to launch the product in the UK and partnering with TESCO came along after the phenomenal success of the Oumph! Sticky Smokehouse in Sweden. The brand is extremely delighted to bring this to their consumers. And they believe that it will be a great hit with the consumers.
