In order to take a stand against the continuously occurring climate changes, the English Vegan Actor Benedict Cumberbatch moved ahead to join the Extinction Rebellion Protests in London.
Extinction Rebellion can be known as an environmental pressure group which serves the purpose of urging the governments to bring an end to the climate crisis by resorting to the Civil Disobedience.
Although they tend to undertake the activities globally, but currently the activities in London are known to have blocked off the bridges, the roads as well as Smithfield i.e. the largest meat market of the City.
The positive side of these protests is that though they block the entire road traffic but they are not against giving way to the cyclists.
Regarding Benedict, he is known to have joined the group of those activists who have planned out a 2 weeks camp in the Trafalgar Square. Via this camp, they have undertaken to spread the message “Our Future Inside” by carrying a hearse with them.
Cumberbatch’s support to the protest was even shown in the photographs shared on the social media by the Extension Rebellion.
Along with offering support to the Extension Rebellion’s protests, Benedict Cumberbatch is known to have adopted a plant-based diet from the year 2017. As reported by him, one of the main reasons behind switching to Veganism was his concern for the Environment.
Apart from Benedict Cumberbatch, the movement also won a healthy support from the father of the British Prime Minister, Stanley Johnson, model Daisy Lowe, Juliet Stevenson and many others.
