The Coconut Collaborative, now known as only, The Collaborative is a vegan brand that has now started rapid expansion in the US after it received a funding of $7 million. They are being funded by the investment firm PowerPlant Ventures. While the expansion is taking place, a new CEO has also joined the brand. Meiky Tollmanm, who has previously worked with the hummus giant Sabra Dipping Company for 15 years will now be taking The Collaborative to new heights.
The coconut based yogurt offered by the brand is available in Plain, Vanilla, and fruit-on-the-bottom flavors. There is Alphonso Mango & Passionfruit and Blueberry & Rosemary options. The brand will soon be filling the market with new sizes plus their will be varied new vegan dessert options that will include the Vanilla Rice Pudding, Double Chocolate Mousse, and Chocolate Pudding.
Tollman has expressed that joining the brand is motivating as well as inspiring for him as it is a fastest growing plant based brand in the market and most importantly it is purpose driven. The brand specializes in presenting their customers with healthy alternatives to meat and a more eco-friendly alternative to dairy-based yogurt. The Collaborative, is the dream brand of twin brothers Edward and James Averdieck. The first outlet was opened in the United Kingdom in 2014. They spread to the US in 2018 and now the plan is to expand to the whole of US.
The new CEO added that he is excited to join the brand as it is committed to having and spreading a collaborative essence and good intentions which is the demand of our today and will be needed tomorrow. He shared that with the unprecedented crisis that has hit the world today they as a startup team are taking this as a challenge and want to help the world as much as they can. The Collaborative has donated $15,000 worth of products to support healthcare workers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
