The American famous television host Ellen DeGeneres and actor Portia de Rossi have announced that they are now investors of vegan cheese brand Miyoko’s Creamery. The investors DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi are very active about animal welfare programs. The couple is also vocal about the environment and other social justice issues. They also run “The Ellen Fund” which is a conservation group and working on protecting the endangered mountain gorillas.
Miyoko Schinner is the founder of Miyoko’s. He is also a vegan chef and activist, and aims to remove animals from dairy production. Miyoko’s is famous for its plant-based range that creates 98 percent less greenhouse gas than traditional dairy products being sold nowadays.
Miyoko’s is producing vegan cheese with organic and whole foods like nuts and legumes. The brand is not using any additives and artificial ingredients. Its vegan cheese is the combination of traditional techniques and creamery cultures with modern technology.
DeGeneres said in a press release that being kind should not just be for people. It should also involve animals too. She is a permanent customer of Miyoko’s Creamery along with Portia for several years and currently, both are consuming the brand’s vegan butter and cheese in their home.

International Institute for Applied System has found in a study that the global shift from animal products to the plant-based food can reduce harmful gas emission by fifty percent in the next thirty years.
