Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a letter from Baywatch icon and former Big Boss guest star Pamela Anderson on Friday. Pamela sent the letter on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA).
She urged Narendra Modi to serve only vegan food at all government meetings and functions. She has also urged the Prime Minister of India to run a campaign regarding fighting against climate change by serving only vegan products. PETA and Pamela have pointed out that raising animals for eggs, dairy products and meat cause greenhouse gas emissions in large amounts.
She wrote in the letter that India keeps bringing many innovative ideas in agriculture. The country is producing soy and other food products that can be helpful to replace those climate-damaging foods.
Through the letter, PETA director has also urged Narendra Modi to utilize pro-vegan steps in India like other countries including Germany, China, and New Zealand. Pamela appealed Narendra Modi that India is capable to adopt veganism and it would be a great contribution in the favor of climate.
Pamela has also expressed her concerns about how people in Delhi are affected by severe air pollution. She shared her worry about the residents of the capital and animals that can not wear face masks.
Many reports have already expressed that 36 million Indians can go through the warning of annual coastal flooding by 2050. The World Bank has also forecasted that almost 21 cities are in danger in India. These cities are continuously walking to reach zero groundwater levels that will cause a lack of drinking water in the country by 2030.
Pamela has praised India for its unique ways of cooking because cooking techniques here make the country an easy place to be vegan.
