More Sportspersons are Adopting Vegan Diet to Enhance their Performance: Survey

A global survey has highlighted that more sportspersons have been turning vegan due to the increasing awareness about the health benefits of a vegan diet. It has been found that lots of people from the sports community are focusing on improving their performance in different sports by following a vegan diet. Although many critics have been criticizing this shift, studies from various health organizations indicate the benefits of eating a plant-based diet for better performance while playing sports games.

Athletes from the sports world have been endorsing the game-changing qualities of eating a plant-based diet. A lot of athletes have been realizing that eating a plant-based diet can help to intake more protein in comparison to eating meat. In the year 2019, a German study highlighted that athletes eating a plant-based diet with B-12 supplementation can have higher marginal adequacy than athletes following a non-vegetarian diet.

Many sportspersons have confessed that they have managed to improve their athletic performance and build their endurance by following a plant-based diet. Due to the high inclination of people towards eating a plant-based diet, lots of sports drinks and performance enhancers are focusing on releasing plant-based products in the market.
