India is a country where more people are vegetarian. It is the second country, which eats more vegetarian food. Though there is a comprehensive point of difference between eating vegetarian food and eating vegan food. Vegetarian food includes processed cheese, butter, buttermilk, paneer, milk, and all the other food items made with cow or buffalo milk. Whereas in veganism, all these products aren’t included, all the food items are plant-based, nutritious, healthy, and environment friendly. Therefore, it is hard to find a vegan food market in India.
In recent times, due to the outbreak of the global pandemic, COVID-19; many non-vegetarian people have shifted from eating beef, chicken, and pork to vegan food. This changed didn’t occur overnight; some people shifted because of the pandemic, while some shifted because they learned about the damages that are caused, and because of climatic changes; while some shifted because of the influence of western culture; while some shifted because their role Bollywood actor signed the pact of going vegan.
Whatever may be the real reason, what matters the most is that more and more people are turning vegan. All we needed to conserve our mother earth and take care of the climate and our environment.
