Vegan activist and multiple grammy winner singer Billie Elish paid a visit to an animal sanctuary with her parents just a few days before Thanksgiving.
The 19-year-old vegan singer pictured at a Farm Sanctuary with her father and mother, holding a rescued turkey with warmth and care. The sanctuary thanked the family and paid their greetings for visiting them.
The sanctuary people added, “ Turkeys are emotional and sentient creatures who do not deserve to end up dead and cooked up on anyone’s plate. If you agree and consider sponsoring one of our rescued turkeys this year for Thanksgiving instead of eating one through our #AdoptATurkey Project.”
With only two days left for Thanksgiving, we have a hope that Americans this year will think twice before serving turkey and try to go vegan instead.
Eilish’s vegan journey
Well, Eilish’s journey begins from her childhood, she was raised as a vegetarian and then she chooses to be vegan. She continually uses her stardom to advocate veganism.
When on Tumblr she was asked by fans why she is vegan, she said that: “ I love animals, and I just think there is no point in creating something out of an animal when the animal is already there. Leave the animals alone. Damn.”
In 2018 she posted on Instagram the horrors of an Indiana dairy farm. She expressed her disgust in front of her 26 million followers.
She said, “If you can watch the video that I just shared and not worry. You are contributing to it by Literally eating the creatures. They are fully tortured for your pleasure only. I feel so sorry for you,”
The vegan singer is unafraid to tell her followers the truth about the dark secrets about animal agriculture. We at Vegan News absolutely love her courage for standing up against the evil that is behind animal agriculture. She is doing her best by using her platform for the good of innocent animals who cannot speak for themselves.
