On Monday, sixteen students from Indiana were admitted to a local hospital after they had been injected with the insulin hormone by mistake during the skin test for tuberculosis. This happened at a locally-based high school, as confirmed by the school officials.
The students belonged to the McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology located at Indianapolis. They are currently under observation for possibility of any adverse effects as they were injected with particularly small insulin dosage by a personnel working with the Community Health Network.
All of the 16 students had been transported for being admitted to the hospital. Their parents were had also been notified of the same. Lucille Knowles, a local resident and one of the parents stated that her daughter could actually have died from this incident. She also stated that this was something that has surely enraged her.
