Papa John’s is celebrating National Vegan Day by hiring a Chief Vegan Officer. Papa John’s Marketing Director, Giles Codd says that the company is looking for a candidate who is extremely passionate about food plus has a firm knowledge of veganism. They are looking forward to meting many suitable people for the job in the coming future.
He further adds that the company understands that 2019 has been a huge year for plant-based food and the vegan menu is no more limited to only a couple of disappointing side dishes.
This unique job that wouldn’t have existed five years ago, is a part-time gig suited for a vegan who understands the power of cauliflower and has taste prowess that can help the company devise their new vegan menu for 2020.
The appointed vegan officer will be responsible for understanding the vegan trends and the informing the chain & directly reporting to the Head of Research and Development at Papa John’s of all the must-know vegan trends.
The officer will be paid a competitive salary for their job for working 8-10 hours a month between January – June 2020. The pay is £100-£125 per hour adding to £6,000 in all for the complete project.
The company is looking at candidates who have a background in food technology with a degree in food science and excellent communication skills. Most importantly they should be a vegan and/or have been a vegan for the last 18 months. They will help design a vegan menu that will appeal to both carnivores and veggie-lovers alike.
