A new Planet Fitness will soon be opening in the space which was previously occupied by the grocery store Harris Teeter in Ogden Plaza, as per an announcement made on Monday.
Planet Fitness, which has over 1,800 outlets across the US, has penned down a ten-year lease for the space. It was in previous year that Harris Teeter shut down its outlets at Ogden.
Anchor Management Group will operate the upcoming health club at Ogden Plaza, as per a press release by Cameron Management that handles the shopping center’s property management and leasing.
Seaside Fitness, which is an Anchor Management affiliate, plans on investing more than $2.8mn at the Ogden location for developing Planet Fitness, stated the release.
As per Joe Bernardini from Seaside Fitness, the upcoming best-in class health club will be 35,800sq. ft huge. It will include, for instance, over 120 cardio equipment as well as locker rooms having 4 showers each.
The other equipment, meant for the black-card members of Planet Fitness, includes hydro loungers, tanning beds and 6 massage chairs.
Bernardini said that he expects the new health club to act as an asset for expanding the Ogden area. The opening day and date haven’t been determined as yet, he added.
